This is so touching. I have a friend who donated stem cells. It’s not an easy process but it’s very rewarding. Also, becoming an organ donor is a gift of life. My son passed last year and saved 70 lives, with organs and skin cells. I’m a proud donor mom🙏🏼🪽In California there are 20,000 people just waiting. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Beautiful story of solidarity. One of Calgary's extraordinary moments was the flood of 2013. Businesses and individuals all pulled together in the aftermath to help each other recover. Miraculously, the Stampede was able to open on the first Friday in July, even though the grounds, barns, and arenas were fully submerged at the peak of the flooding. Those efforts saved many thousands of jobs and businesses both small and large.

Irene… We so often see stories of communities coming together as one in times of need that it helps maintain the belief that there are still good people in this world. Look at what happens during & after natural disasters. Often, people in communities worst affected only have each other to rely on until rescue workers can arrive & that’s when you see total strangers helping their fellow townspeople out in any way they can. THAT’S the world I like to live in ✊😌🌅

So true Gerard , It's incredible how one soul can show up and change everything, like they were sent just for that moment. Grateful for earth, side angels and good people in the communities!

Being a “territory” girl yourself, you’d have no doubt seen or heard about what happened in the aftermath of Cyclone Tracy in Darwin back in the 70’s & how people banded together to help each other out. Granted, resources were severely limited back then, but nowadays, the story would be different. More recently, our Black Summer bushfires on the east coast in 2019 / 2020. The only “good” that came out of them was seeing the PM get completely & utterly humiliated on live tv during his infamous meet & greet sessions with survivors in NSW towns 😆😆😆. Locals helped each other out with what little they had, but understandably, they lost their proverbial shit when they saw ScoMo holidaying in Hawaii 🤨🤨🤨

Thank you Gerard , another great example. I was only two years old when cyclone Tracy struck. I have actually wrote a post about this back in December when it was the 50th anniversary of cyclone Tracy. If you have a moment please read it and listen to the song I included about cyclone 🌀 Tracy .

All that was needed was ONE angel in human form… Thankfully, that very angel descended from the heavens at just the right time 🙏😇❤️
